The fourth livery on the (Y8-5) is of a long and well established UK banana merchant, Fyffes. Collectors gave it a warm reception and most markets were sold out very quickly.

Livery: (Tampo)
'FYFFES' in blue on both sides of canopy.
Fyffes trademark in navy blue & white with blue coachlines on both sides and rear of truck body.
'BANANA MERCHANT' in navy blue on both sides of truck body.
'FYFFES ARE BEST' and coachline in navy blue on both sides of cab.
Fyffes trademark in navy blue & white on front of boiler frame.
Navy blue coachlines on both sides and front of boiler frame.

Variations/Rarities: Issued with a yellow body and navy blue chassis. It had black seats and chimney.
The boiler was yellow with navy blue boiler bands.
It had light yellow 6-spoke wheels and a light cream canopy.
Two different colours of plastic had been used for the cab roof: white or light cream. The white cab roofs were probably a balance left over from the Y32 Samuel Smith production run.
The baseplate Y nimber had been changed to Y32 during the Y32 Samuel Smith run, but despite the commonality of the base/chassis component to both the Y8 and Y32, all the bases on the Fyffes had only Y32 cast on all issues.
